My first semester in grad school, I took Introduction to Game Design for Educators and had the chance to learn how to build my own educational role playing game. At the end of the semester, I bought the web hosting for my site specifically because I wanted to put my game online to share with others. Unfortunately, while I had FTP access to put files up automatically and successfully uploaded it to my hosting space, I couldn’t get the file to actually open on the web. I literally spent DAYS trying to figure out what the problem was.

I finally cracked it this weekend after giving up on it for over a year! You can now click the image below to play my game and learn about computational thinking!

For full game materials, make sure to disable your pop-up blocker in your web browser! Downloadable content was a requirement for the class project, so some of the activities require content to pop-up in another window.

Just goes to show that sometimes the most important problem-solving step is taking a break!
